You may have first heard of The Law Of Attraction while listening to the teachings of Abraham, channelled by Ester Hicks, or perhaps you became aware of the existence of The Law Of Attraction while watching the movie The Secret. The movie was originally inspired by Wallace D. Wattle’s book The Science Of Getting Rich (published in 1910).
In The Science Of Getting Rich, Wattle names the seven Natural Laws of the Universe: The Law of Perpetual Transmutation, The Law of Relativity, The Law of Vibration and Attraction, The Law Of Polarity, The Law Of Rhythm, The Law of Cause and Effect, and The Law of Gender.
The Law of Attraction groups that we are setting up will have between three to eight participants per group willing to meet on a regular basis (at least once a month) with the aim of providing mutual support and encouragement, and with the willingness to support each other in consciousness.
We offer to host and facilitate each group. The meeting venue will be in Muswell Hill, North London. Although anyone can apply to join any of the groups mentioned on this site, there will be a friendly and informative assessment process before members can attend their chosen group.
The Law of Attraction meeting groups will provide the opportunity for participants to gain a better understanding of the philosophies professed by some of the metaphysical teachers that appear in the movie The Secret, mainly the teachings of Abraham-Hicks, of James Arthur Ray, and of Dr Joe Vitale.
We will also be looking at the founders of the New Thought Movement who were practicing and writing about The Law Of Attraction since the end of the 19th century. The legacy they left behind by establishing the churches of Religious Science, the Churches of Divine Science (where Louise Hay studied) and the churches of Unity (all still in existence and prospering) have given life and inspiration to several renowned authors including Dr Joseph Murphy (The Power of Your Subconscious Mind), Catherine Ponder (The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity), and Ernest Holmes, the founder of The Science Of Mind and writer of many of it's textbooks including Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life. We will also explore some of the teachings of Bob Proctor, John Assaraf and Neville Goodard, all relating to The Law of Attraction.
We will establish at the beginning the format that the meetings will take, though they will no doubt evolve over time to cater for the group’s specific needs.
At the outset, some time will need to be dedicated to sharing, with participants having the opportunity to list their latest achievements, or mention something good that has recently happened. We will then focus on some relevant material such as reading passages from a particular book, listening to a CD/MP3, or watching a DVD. Then we will discuss the material and look at how to practically apply it, including tips and tailor-made processes for each of the participants.
By taking it in turn, each member will have the opportunity to choose one goal to work on attracting, and will focus his or her mind on that goal being already achieved, while the rest of the group at the same time will support that person’s goal “in consciousness” (by visualising and feeling that person already having attracted it).
The meeting will draw to a close following a short meditation.
